The Medical University in Lodz – Uniwersytet Medyczny w Łodzi is one of the largest medical universities in Poland. Its tradition goes back to the 1940s. The Medical University of Lodz educates future doctors and specialists in medical sciences and medicine-related fields. Presently over 1000 foreign students from various countries attend medical and dental programs taught entirely in English. The Dentistry Teaching Centre and the newly open Medical Simulation Center implement the world educational standards and represent the highest level of innovation in medical education.

• 6-year MD program
General Medicine – MD/ MBBS is designed for high school/secondary school graduates. It is a full-time study program based on requirements that are obligatory for Polish medical higher education institutions and is adequate to EU standards.
• MD ADVANCED program
It is a part of the 6- year program. destined for the university/college graduates of the pre-medical studies with the BSc degree minimum. Students are transferred directly to the 3rd year of the Advanced MD program, The duration of the program – is 4 years.
• 5-year DMD program
The Dentistry program is designed for high school/secondary school graduates. The program is based on requirements that are obligatory for Polish medical higher education institutions and is adequate to EU standards.
• 3-year Nursing program

Bachelor of Nursing Science is designed for high school/secondary school graduates. It is a full-time study program based on requirements that are obligatory for Polish medical higher education institutions and is adequate to EU standards.

• Preparatory Course PREMED

the Preparatory program is taught in English and is organized by the Medical University in Lodz for the international students planning to apply for medical and dentistry programs in order to repeat and improve their knowledge required on the entrance exam. It also aims at making up for the differences in candidates’ knowledge in the prerequisite subjects to help them in their first year of studies.

The Medical University of Lodz organizes the courses since 2013. Almost 140 participants completed PREMED successfully. Many of them have already graduated from MUL or are currently Students in DMD or 6MD programs.
